Management Accountant – Peter Vardy Foundation
Hours: Part Time 16-20 hours per week
Days/shifts: Flexible
Location: Flexible but ideally can travel to Vardy Central (Eurocentral) or Edinburgh if required
Salary: Dependent on experience

GenPlus (previously GenZ Leaders) is a transformational personal development and meta-skills programme helping schoolchildren across Scotland develop leadership skills, increase their confidence, and make better choices for a better future.
The Peter Vardy Foundation was created as a way of distributing 10% of the profits from the Peter Vardy Group to good causes. It exists to improve the lives of vulnerable children and young people both locally and abroad.
As the Group continues to grow, as does our charitable work and we are delighted to now be recruiting for a dedicated Management Accountant to support our great causes.
The main duties of the role will include:
- Responsible for the month end close, posting journals on Xero and preparing monthly management accounts.
- Maintain the sales and purchase ledger on an ongoing basis.
- Prepare monthly reporting packs for monthly operation reviews including variance analysis against budget.
- Prepare and collate budgets with input from the operational team.
- Preparation of quarterly packs for trustee meetings
- Responsible for ensuring OSCR reporting requirements and deadlines are met.
- Collating information for the year end audit process and responding to queries from the charity’s auditors.
- Overseeing cost control of various projects, tracking spend and delivery of outcomes.
- Reviewing the cash position of the charity and providing insight into funding requirements.
Experience
- Experience in the preparation of management accounts and involvement in budgeting and planning processes;
- Knowledge of external audit processes and standards;
- Strong Microsoft Office skills;
- Excellent excel and numeration skills;
- Previous experience of Xero desirable;
- Previous experience working with charities desirable;
- Experience of working in a fast paced organization, working to tight deadlines;
