Ambitious jobseekers are set to make their bid to become part of one of the most exciting events in Scotland's automotive industry - the creation of a massive new CarStore by Peter Vardy Limited, the rapidly-expanding car retailer.

Peter Vardy is seeking 70 dedicated people for positions in its flagship state-of-the-art site in Hillington in Glasgow. Hopeful candidates are invited to Glasgow's Science Centre for a major recruitment event which will take place on September 25 between noon and 8pm. The enormous new facility for quality pre-owned cars will cover a remarkable six acres stretching across 70,000 square feet. It is due to open in December this year and the recruitment process is of vital importance to its success. In an all-day, open forum, candidates will be introduced to the unique nature of the Peter Vardy enterprise, which now covers 10 sites in Scotland, and the company's industry-wide recognised reputation for integrity and fair dealing. Jade Hazard, of Peter Vardy's head office, who is organising the event, said: "Our success at the moment is phenomenal so we want to give those who join us on the day a feel for what it is like to work for such a different and dynamic company. The company is seeking people to fill a wide range of vacancies, including sales executives, parts advisors, parts supervisors, service administrators, showroom hosts, technicians, vehicle progressors, workshop controllers, sales controllers, sales manager, vehicle administrator, accounts assistant, apprentice technicians and drivers. In the new CarStore, car buyers will be able to choose from more than 400 cars, all displayed indoors in a heated showroom and priced realistically at between £3,000 and £30,000. It is designed to be a destination dealership, where people can take their time in comfortable surroundings to find the car of their dreams.
